The manager of the German national team Oliver Bierhoff criticised Louis van Gaal for his attitude towards Bastian Schweinsteiger at Manchester United.
The German national does not enjoy a particularly successful stand United, and currently treats a knee injury.
`Every player needs the support of the coach, and that goes for Bastian.`, said Bierhoff to `Sport Bild`.
`Overall I think it is unfortunate if the coach publicly criticized his players.`, added Oliver Bierhoff.
He added that he expects Schweinsteiger to be in Germany for Euro 2016, but warned that the player will have to fight for his place.
`It`s nice to have some competition. Motivation and concentration will be back. Bastian is a very important part of the team of Germany.`, said Oliver Bierhoff.
