Haladay`s plane rose sharply before it collapsed

Flight-powered sports aircraft routed up sharply before it landed fatally in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico near Tampa, Florida. This is written in the preliminary report by the US National Traffic Safety Investigators (NTSB) investigating the death of the former MLS pilot. The 40-year-old Say Young was killed two weeks ago while managing his personal seaplane ICON A5. NFSB officer Noreen Price informed that no blame for the incident on November 7 is being sought, but just the established facts. In her words, drawing up a final according soccer blog and articles report with reasoned conclusions could take one to two years. Price has revealed that Haladay has left a lake near his home in Tarpon Springs 17 minutes before the crash. From the black box recordings, it became clear that the ICON 5 machine had risen to 1900 feet (580 meters), then dropped 600 feet (180 meters) when it approa ched the coast. It then dropped to 36 feet (11 meters) above the sea, then dipped in a circle of 11 feet (3 meters) above the water at a speed of about 105 mph (170 km / h) before rising to 100 feet(30 m). Witnesses said the plane was between 300 and 500 feet (95-150 m) when it went down sharply and hit the sea at a 45-degree angle.

The body of Haladay was found in the cockpit of the cracked seaplane. The aircraft itself was equipped with a parachute that was not used.

The former star of Toronto Blue Jay and Philadelphia Phyllis received its plane from ICON on October 10 and was among the first owners of the A5. In one of his many enthusiastic posts in Twitter, he says he feels `as if he was flying a fighter jet. `The report says he has a total of 700 flight hours as a pilot after 2013, including 51 hours in ICON A5, of which the last 14 hours in his own machine.
