After a successful 19-year career with the NBA, now Steve Nash is working on another dream. The 41-year-old Canadian has never hid his passion for soccer, and currently practise hard on the green grass, because it can save minutes for the second team of the New York Cosmos, who ventured into the fourth level of professional sports in the United States.
The two-time winner of the award for `most valuable player` of the regular season in the NBA already has conducted several drills with the team of Cosmos, which is enjoying a strong start to the season - 8 wins and only 1 loss. According to the New York Daily News, there is a real opportunity to save Nash`s first minutes in one of the next meetings of its Aleko Eskandarian team.
The South Africa-born former guard can boast that he has trained with the Italian Grand Inter in the summer of 2013. In addition, he has repeatedly demonstrated his football skills with a basketball, including the Slam Dunk Contest during the NBA All Star weekend.
All of this is happening just a few months after Nash officially announced his retirement from active racing career in basketball.
